Shortly after airkrete® GREENsulation™ installer Joey Jacinto completed the 1.3 million dollar contract with the City Housing Authority of NYC, he received a call to stop in for an inspection at the apartment building. His first thought was that there was some kind of a problem. When he arrived the authorities were all smiling at him. To everyone's amazement it seems that shortly after the airkrete® GREENsulation™ was installed a fire broke out due to faulty wiring. The fire at Betances House Complex on East 146th St. NY City was contained because the airkrete® GREENsulation™'s fireproofing qualities blocked the fire. ASTM E814/UL 1479. Joey received a big pat on the back and validation on a job well done.

Since 911, many existing buildings in NY City have been condemned and their CO's (Certificate of Occupancy) stricken from the owners. To insure or reestablish a CO, apartments and building structures need to pass code and install proper fire walls.
